It’s been 5 days since being home and I sort of feel lighter. lol. I have changed the way I eat. I go to yoga in the morning and then I come home and have a protein shake with all my vitamins in it (kale, organic protein powder, fruits and berries, cucumber, carrots, my Green Vibrance powdered vitamins). Then around noon I’m hungry so sometimes I’ll make 5 eggs, because that’s totally perfect for me, or I just picked up my chicken from trader joe’s and I will make plain tacos with avocado on a corn tortilla. To me, they are very yummy.
I used to eat with sauces and dressings but now I don’t care too much for the extras. I believe, in my own humble opinion, that whatever you eat should taste amazing without all the condiments.
And then when I leave for work I will eat either tacos or my fake delicious meatless burger patty atop spinach, mozz cheese, tomatoes, and cucumbers. And it is good! So are the tacos, but when I make the salad yummmm.
When I get snacky, I eat a granola bar or pineapple or both. But I completely took out fried foods and I am trying not to go out to eat everyday like I was doing previous. It’s too easy to have someone make your food and pick it up. But for me that means I’m eating tons of pizza or sandwiches. Those are really delicious but really heavy.
I am tired of feeling heavy; and that is why I am eating in. And this is how I eat in. I am not a big candy eater, or sugar fanatic but occasionally I will crave sweets. I won’t go out of my way to buy them, ever. But if they are wherever I am in the moment I may or may not buy something sweet and delicious.
When I go out for dinner and not pick up, I tend to look at the dessert menu first only because it is rare for me to go out to dinner solo, so when I do go out and treat myself I will partake in the dessert action. However I will eat dessert first and dinner after, I just take half of my dinner home for another meal! hahaha
This is my first week starting over and so far I feel good and I get hungry more often but I snack on light healthy stuff, because that’s all I have. I do not even have any bread in the house. Some days, I wish I did but I’m glad I don’t because I know how bread makes me feel after eating it.
I work in a restaurant of fried foods and bread. I stopped eating all of that and the snacking at work because it makes me feel yucky. And what I definitely know is that the way I am eating now is way better than what I was doing. As I sit here and eat the leftover coconut cream pie my coworker gave me!!!
