Here’s a funny story about universe being literal. The beginning of this year I had made a vision board, the biggest one I’ve made since highschool. I had framed it and was hanging in front of my bed on the wall so I would see it when I wake up and when I go to bed.
I am a firm believer in the I AM affirmations. So I put $$$100 billion dollars on there with the affirmation that I am a billionaire. And if you can see there’s a line on my vision board that says ” It’s living the dream sooner rather than later”. And well you can see the board…
I have been manifesting living in another country by the end of this year and being a billionaire. And here I am, living in another country and technically I am a billionaire; at least here in Bali I am. 1 billion Rupiahs is equal to $64 USD. So here it is I am officially a billionaire. lol.
Basically everything on that board has come to fruition, although I am still waiting on my Black Card; but being a billionaire, I don’t really need it at this moment. Some things are coming and I can feel it. After all who really knows when I will be able to go home. I am not complaining.
Regardless of the global circumstances I am still able to discover new things, go on mini adventures and learn more about the culture. I am blessed. Everyday is new and everyday I have a choice. Stepping out of comfort zones and away from fear, trying new things. Seeing things in a different perspective. Doing things I wouldn’t normally do.
It seems weird now, but in the states I found it more challenging to do everything that I listed above. I feel more free and relaxed about it. Probably because I don’t know anyone; well now I do but they make me feel comfortable.
I just wanted to share the power of manifesting and vision boards…So cool. I have made visions boards most of my life and I have seen them all come to fruition but for some reason this time it’s different. A better different, awesome different, amazing!
As most of you know I have been in fear of riding the motorbike on main roads and going by myself anywhere far; on the bike. Some reasons for that fear is my phone not working, getting lost, not being able to find my way home, navigating around fast moving vehicles and other motorbikes.
I have my motorcycle license in the states, but I haven’t been on a motorcycle since I got it back in 2015. Sad, I know. Then some of you know my phone hasn’t been the most reliable as of late.
With that being said, I learned how to roam with Aric back in Saba. He did take me down the main road for a minute. I felt more comfortable riding on the side roads. As time has moved on, if anyone was going anywhere I would make sure I could tag along. More practice and getting to know roads and how to ride around cars and motorbikes in small doses.
In a week and half I have been riding on the main roads with my roommates to other towns. Mind you my roommates have motorbikes at home and have been riding since they were young. I have been able to keep up with them and been enjoying it.
Over the past weekend we took a road trip to Uluwatu and I followed along on my motor bike. (Side note- if you read my last blog, about the flat tires…I cannot believe I forgot to write that I had a flat tire before we even left the neighborhood that morning! Crazy town…) Anyways, so we went on their kinda highways and turned everywhere and crossed traffic from all directions. I was very aware of my every move and all my surroundings.
I made it safely through everything. So with that, I was ready. I decided it was time to ride to another town, alone. I was going to meet a friend in Canggu for sunset. I left way earlier so we could hang out poolside before.
I set out for the adventure. I had packed my bathing suit, sarong, extra shirt. The phone holder was attached to my mirror so I could see my phone, I had my earbuds in so I could hear the directions. I had my face mask on and then my helmet.
Off I went. I made it to the first light and my GPS hadn’t spoken to me not once. I pulled over to see which way to go and I went the wrong way anyways. So I made another turn and pulled over to check my GPS again. I knew the general direction so if I ever felt lost I just turned toward the general direction and hope for the best.
I left kinda early so that I could take my time and not rush. His place was about 3miles away; which if you were in the states would be like 5 minutes. Here its 22mins. All the roads look like back roads. There are no roads that go straight, everything curves off of each other and if you don’t know the area then you are just hoping for the best, like me.
I went through some major traffic centers and there was a certain point my phone began working. I was so grateful. I had already pulled over so many times it was nice to just listen and not pull over. I finally made it and I was so grateful and proud of myself.
My next challenge was going to be driving home after sunset.
Here’s the kicker…we were leaving for sunset and we all took our own bikes. Before I even backed out all the way my friend says that I have a rear flat tire. WTF…ok whatever. LOL..just go with the flow. That makes it 2 days in a row with a flat. I decided to leave it till the next day, So I spent the night out.
Never did get to ride home at night, But I am also not in fear of it anymore. Just one of those things I wanted to get over, but clearly in my time, lol. Cuz I totally took my time with that and that is fine by me.
More adventures await, fearlessly yet very aware and alert!
So I have discovered that Bali is an island of mystery, really about karma. There’s a lot more than just karma but I’ve noticed more about the karma aspects with my roommates since living with them. Any time one of my roommates says something, they get hit with karma. Not always but when they joke around something tends to happen, which tends to happen more often than not. It’s quite funny actually.
Example: Aric was making fun of one of our friends, because her bike had a crack on it and he made fun of her and her driving skills. She turned and looked at him and said no someone hit me there. Aric then took a step back and burned his leg right on the exhaust of his own bike. Karma.
This has been happening all around me. I cannot keep up these guys but these were the 2 most recent examples.
So yesterday we were going to go for a ride and see if we could find any vistas near Uluwatu. One of the girls, Putri mentioned a beach, she said no promises but we can check.
So we cruise that way and we rode down a very windy road till we came to a dead end; which was the beach entrance. There was a sign that says beach closed and the pathway was semi blocked. I didn’t want to go down there, because I’m in another country and all the beaches are closed. I don’t want to run into any problems, but I am with a couple of locals gratefully. When we pulled up to the dead end, I noticed a couple of ladies chilling on a cement wall next to their scooters (they were clearly not from Bali). Charly says this is like straight from a horror movie and we all kinda laughed. Aric says, if this is a horror movie than you are the first to go and then me and then Jen. lol. We all laughed.
Putri suggested that we hide our bikes behind that car, pointing further away. No one can see the sign but it says private parking. As we all started moving our bikes behind the car, the girls that we saw on the wall started yelling at us. They had already driven to the paved part of the road. Aric walked over to them as Putri spoke to a man behind a gate yelling to her. So much happening all at the same time.
Aric comes back and Putri comes back and Aric said that the 2 girls, their tires were slashed; both front and back. Putri says that the man doesn’t want us parking on his property. The minute Aric spoke I was on my bike and backed it out. They were trying to figure out where else to park and walk down. I said no way man, I do not want to be a part of your horror story that is unfolding.
Seriously, they put it out there in the universe and it showed up the way it did…so grateful that we didn’t go down to the beach. The slashed tires would have been ours. When we got back to the main road we passed the ladies at a bike shop, trying to get their tires fixed.
I keep telling them (my roommates- Aric and Charly) be careful what you put out into the universe, she is listening to every word…
It has been 11 days since my last post. I took a time out for a bit because I realize all I have been getting on with is all the relaxation, the food (and I’m not even a foodie- lol) and kicking it poolside.
I’m sure even you, the reader can tell me what I have been doing since my last post. However, there has been a few major changes that have occurred. One is I left Canggu and moved to Semyniak; I met Aric at our new pad that we rented for a month. He had been on the lookout for a potential roommate as we rented a 4 bedroom villa.
We arrived around 10am and our potential new roommate came to check out the place at noon. His name is Charly and he is from New Caledonia, which is a french island off the coast of Australia and New Zealand. Aric and I already chose our rooms downstairs. He scoped out the scene and we talked for a while and he was sold and so were we.
It turns out to be a great situation for all of us. We are all awesome and it works. We have been here now since the 7th. Since living with these two, I have started working out again, I rode on the major roads and kept up. I finally went on the major road solo without getting lost and without my phone. That was huge!
So now that we are sort of all caught up, I am going to continue to blog about my journey but more so on the aspects of what is really going on. Between the energies that surround me and how the Universe has my back.
I will write separate blogs about the events that take place as they occur; But I don’t need to share with you all the food I’m eating lol. With that being said I hope everyone is well and staying positive!
I got up today to watch the sunrise around 6am. Again waking up at 5 but didn’t feel like getting out of bed quite yet. So I got up at 6 and went outside to see the sunrise. It was quiet, no one on the property was awake yet and I wandered to the back of the property to see it better. It was beautifully radiant.
When the sun did pop up, Made came out to take the offering to the temple and Bingo tagged along until he saw me sitting there.
It was already warm out so I decided to jump in the pool to wake up a bit more. Made asked to clean my room and while I was in the pool so I said sure. She really didn’t have to but sure why not. While she was doing her thing I saw a cat run into my room I paid no mind as Made was doing her thing and I, in the pool.
I was in and out of the pool reading and sunning. Ken came out and we started to chat it up for a while. We decided we would go for a ride and find this juice place he had been talking about and then find some lunch.
I got out of the pool and went in to change to go for lunch. I was about to walk out of my room and I felt a presence. I looked to the left and next to the bed in my little night stand there the cat was hiding. She had been in there for some time, as Made closed the door and I was kicking it poolside. The kitty watched me open the door and ran out and I locked the door behind us.
I rented the motor bike and Ken and I were off. He took me to this little juice spot on the side of the road next to a tattoo shop. The lady made fresh pressed juices. We were there sampling everything while she made Ken’s. I ended up buying 2 500L bottles. Ken bought 1 liter. I got an anti- inflammatory and digestive juice, clearing the pathways.
When we were all settled up with this lovely lady, I followed Ken to this bar called Black Cat Mini Mart. Apparently when it is open you walk through the refrigerator door into the bar. It was closed so I wasn’t able to actually check it out but it was a cool concept.
Ken decided we could go to the Nomad Cafe, which was literally right behind us. He was a member so we were able to eat there. It was really cool. It was open and spacious, they have private rooms you can rent out. Every seat had outlets for digital nomads to work. We sat outside in a little sofa space. Very cozy.
I loved it, Ken said that normally the place is packed and you can’t find a seat; but thanks to the corona the place was practically empty. Just a handful of digital nomads working on start ups or working with clients and then there was us… It was a hidden paradise for expats.
I met a guy from I think Bosnia, his name is Zlatan. We were exchanging numbers and I went to put it into my phone but my phone wasn’t working. I couldn’t figure out why but then they were telling me my Sim card probably finished. That put me in a pickle, I had to go to the ATM to get some money and I put my card on lock; I couldn’t take any money out yet because I didn’t have internet access. Gratefully I Ken was with me, he let me borrow 50k and I was able to get my phone in order. We then found an atm and it didn’t work. I decided I will just try again later.
It was so hot out with the sun beaming down so when we got back we jumped in the pool and cooled off. Clouds started rolling in but they never actually covered us, but we ended up getting sun showers. It was awesome, I let the pool and showers cool me off while still sitting in the sun.
When I went back to my room to change I saw the little kitty laying on my bench outside my room, so cute. Just lounging, relaxing like I have been. So I joined for a while.
The sun had gone down Ken and I started drinking by the pool again as it was still hot but night time. We drank what we had and Ken decided he needed a few more. Ken and I went out to the store to grab some munchies and he got some Smirnoff and I had my wine still.
The trip to the store was quite interesting indeed. The people that were out grocery shopping, everyone’s different languages. It was so entertaining. I had fun in there. We made it back and continued munching and drinking. Ken was in the pool and bats were flying all around and dipping into the water for a drink. Ken was in the pool freaking out, it was hilarious and they were so cool to watch their flight patterns.
He got out of the water and we hung out again on his porch and listened to music from around the world. Ken asked me where I wanted to go in the world; I chose a place and he had music from mostly any country on his playlist. It was so fun. We literally went to every continent. By the time I was finished with my beverages and he his, it was midnight. Way passed my bedtime. So away I went Ken was sad because he was not tired but I woke up hella early so I was sleepy.
